Ball Mills and AG/SAG Mills

Saman Fanavar Farabin Company is the exclusive supplier of various types of Ball Mills and AG/SAG Mills for the Iranian market, serving a wide range of mineral and industrial sectors. In line with its strategy for sustainable business development in Iran, the company has selected the highest quality and production standards by partnering with leading technology providers and industry experts. Farabin is ready to establish long-term relationships with mining companies in various fields of ore processing, including copper, gold, iron, lead, zinc, nickel, fluorite, phosphate, and others, to supply equipment required for grinding circuits.

Rotary mills consist of a cylindrical chamber that rotates around a horizontal axis. The ore is introduced from one side and, after being grinded by grinding media (balls/other grinding media), is discharged from the opposite end of the mill. Ball mills are among the most common and widely used types of mills in mineral processing industries, operating either in wet or dry conditions, depending on the type of ore and industry, with the application method varying accordingly.

For designing grinding circuits, the most important parameters to be considered are as follows:

  • Feed size distribution
  • Crushability (Bond Work Index) of the ore/sample
  • Product size distribution
  • Feed capacity
  • Grinding method (wet or dry)
  • Grinding circuit type (open or closed), along with the circulating load in closed circuits
  • Abrasion rate of the ore/sample (for estimating wear of mill components and grinding media)

For sizing and selecting mills, the most important parameter to be evaluated and calculated is related to power consumption and the appropriate motor size for the mill. In selecting mills, the required power for grinding the ore/sample to the desired size must be determined.

The table below presents the specifications of some of the Ball Mills offered by Farabin Company.
