Construction Phase (C)

The Construction Phase (C) is a critical stage in all industrial projects, encompassing the installation and execution of various components. The key activities in this phase include:

  • Execution of civil and structural works
  • Installation of mechanical equipment
  • Installation of electrical and control connections
  • Implementation of piping systems for materials and fluids transfer

At this stage of the contract, all civil works are completed and the project equipment are installed. Subsequently, activities such as cabling, electrical installations, piping, and connections for instrumentation and control systems are carried out. Therefore, project progress is typically measured based on completed work volumes across various disciplines, including civil and architectural, electrical and instrumentation, mechanical, piping, and material handling systems.

Upon completion of the above activities, the final stage of the Construction Phase involves the Commissioning Phase, where installed equipment and the processing plant undergo testing and startup procedures. Commissioning is conducted in two stages:

  • Cold Commissioning: Initial testing without operational loads
  • Hot Commissioning: Final testing under full operational conditions

The ultimate goal of this phase is to ensure that all design, installation, testing, execution, and maintenance processes align with the operational requirements set by the client.
